The Trinity Industrial District... Future Design District in 1952

The "slew"
The Development of the Trinity River bottoms, the building of the Trinity Levees, the reclamation of the land, the building of the Trinity Industrial District and Stemmons Freeway are an important part of Dallas' History both politically and industrially. In the coming weeks and months, I'll be writing about this long evolution. We are far from "done". In fact we are about to enter a whole new phase. But along with evolution comes "change" and this inevitably creates new concerns and necessary adjustments. I will attempt to tell the story of where we came from and where we are going as it relates to the River, the Design District and what will be, the largest inner City Park in the country.
